Certus acquires pest control services from Geyer – PCT

GREENSBORO, NC – Go-Forth Vice President of Pest Management Leah Hazelwood has been announced as chair of the Guilford County Go Red for Women Campaign 2021-2022. The campaign will highlight the importance for women of making health and well-being a priority, with a focus on well-being at work.

Hazelwood said: “I am very honored and excited to lead the Guilford Go Red for Women campaign this year with our leadership team. With this incredible group of leaders, I have no doubts that we will exceed our fundraising and awareness goals to help improve the health of women in our community. “

The Go Red for Women campaign aims to help prevent and fight heart disease. Cardiovascular disease is the leading killer of women in the United States, killing a woman every 80 seconds. Almost 60 percent of all stroke deaths are women. Cardiovascular disease kills more women each year than all forms of cancer, accidents and diabetes combined. Yet 80% of heart attack and stroke incidents can be prevented through education and lifestyle changes, such as knowing vital health numbers, increased mobility, smarter eating and blood pressure management.

Hazelwood said: “In the span of seven years, I have lost my father and several grandparents prematurely due to heart problems. It makes me personally passionate about educating our community about the power we have to. live longer and healthier with preventative lifestyle choices. We are thrilled to partner with individuals and businesses in Guilford County to support education on the importance of preventative lifestyle choices, places healthier jobs and CPR training. ”

As part of President Hazelwood’s guidance, Go-Forth Pest Control is the sponsor of the Go Red for Women online wellness series. Through this collaboration, the American Heart Association will deliver a series of webinars to businesses, organizations and their employees in Guilford County. Workplace wellness webinars will be announced later this fall.
