Approximately 35 Pest Management Professionals (PMPs) participated in a “rat crawl” co-sponsored by Liphatech and Catchmaster Pro as part of the PMP Mastermind Consortium held on October 9, just prior to the start of the PestWorld 2022 event. of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). in Boston, Mass.

The event included a live rodent city inspection conducted in a suburban rodent habitat.

John Murphy, Liphatech CO₂ Development and Implementation Manager, led the exploration while speaking to PMPs about rodent control around dumpster areas and providing an overview of equipment and IGI carbon dioxide (CO₂) efficiency powered by Liphatech.

The IGI CO₂ System, including the Eliminator Injection Device, is a rodent control alternative specifically designed to kill burrowing rodents such as rats, ground squirrels, ground squirrels and moles where they live. IGI CO₂ is 99.9% carbon dioxide and is registered by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It is a non-flammable, invisible and odorless gas that is applied to rodent burrows at low pressure and in regulated quantities. It rapidly expels oxygen from rodent burrows, asphyxiating a burrow’s occupants.

Crawler participants observed the use of the CO₂ IGI and witnessed evidence of its effectiveness at the scene in the habitat near a restaurant dumpster area.

For more than four years, the PMP Mastermind Consortium, a group of professional pest control business owners, has met regularly to help each other learn, grow, network and excel in the pest control industry.
